   HYBRID SYSTEM


Many of our customers have asked for air conditioning and refrigeration in their boats but have not had the space for a stand alone generator.  Now we can offer you, in the space normally occupied by the engine plus 7" in additional length, the ability to have an efficient, quiet and reliable propulsion engine plus a generator. In addition to this, you get the benefits of the complete hybrid system.

The hybrid motor works on 48 volts so you will need more batteries and using inverter technology you will be able to  use all of your AC (120V) electric appliances. Hybrid Marine in the UK have worked closely with Beta Marine and extensively tested their system on the canal boats with their keel cooled engines. Now the heat exchanger cooled versions are coming on line and even Jeremy Rogers has produced a new Contessa 32 Hybrid.
